Itinerary
- Day 1: Pick up from the hotel at 7 am and drive for 1 hour to Beng Mealea. Spend an hour exploring the hidden remote temples enveloped by the jungle, off the beaten track. Continue driving for 1 hour to Koh K’e temple groups. Visit Prasat Pram, known as the hidden 10th-century brick temple with tree roots intertwining. Explore other Shiva temples like Prasat Linga and the main temple, ancient 10th-century pyramid called Prasat Thom. Have lunch and rest at a local restaurant until 2 o’clock. Proceed to Preah Vihear temple areas in Sra Em district, purchase temple tickets, and book a truck for tomorrow’s sunrise at Preah Vihear. Stay at a nearby hotel with a beautiful swimming pool for approximately $60 per night. Relax and retire early to rise at 5 am for the sunrise journey to the temple. Take a 30-minute truck ride followed by a 2-hour visit to the temple. Return to the hotel before 10 am for breakfast, some relaxation, and check-out by 12 noon. Drive for 2 hours to the former Khmer Rouge village, Tamok House, and spend an hour touring. Estimated arrival back in Siem Reap by late noon.”
